The ongoing health pandemic related to the outbreak of COVID-19 has completely shifted the paradigm of the year 2020. Everything from travel to large gatherings, movies, music, and more has been put on hold. Initially, non-essential medical care such as our services were put on hold for in-person consultations and treatments as well. That is no longer the case, as the St. Louis Laser Vein Center has been open for months for full care services and treatment. We completely understand the caution that many individuals are showing in avoiding treatment during this time; it’s important to stop the spread of the virus. However, foregoing your vein treatment can be detrimental to your health as well. We ensure every patient is treated with the utmost care and safety in mind, with careful considerations put into how we continue to operate.
Clean and Safe Office Environment
Here at the St. Louis Laser Vein Center, we continue to follow all recommended protocols established by the CDC. Our office environment is frequently cleaned throughout the day. You will find hand sanitizer stations all throughout the building, especially near areas where you need to touch a door handle. While we pride ourselves in how clean the office was prior to the pandemic, our new guidelines make sure everyone can feel safe inside. All patients and staff will be required to follow social distancing protocols such as standing at least six feet away from one another. Additionally, all patients and staff will also be required to wear a mask when inside the office. Research has shown that wearing masks and standing at least six feet away from others can drastically reduce the spread of COVID-19. We place our patients and staff’s health and safety as our foremost priority.
Don’t Let Your Symptoms Return
You probably reached out for vein treatment once you started to notice the many symptoms of vein disease. Issues with our veins can cause a variety of symptoms, including but not limited to physical changes in our veins (appearance of spider veins or varicose veins), achiness, tenderness, difficulty moving, and more. The longer your vein disease goes untreated, the longer these symptoms will carry on. Some symptoms can even get worse the longer they go untreated. The same can be said for any treatment plan that has been interrupted. Our vein treatments are typically completed in several office visits. If these treatments are put on hold, especially after your symptoms are starting to be reduced, it can cause the symptoms to return again. This can lead to requiring additional treatments, causing your care plan to increase in cost and possibly increase the number of treatments needed. Don’t put your body under additional stress and complete your care plan as quickly as possible.
Virtual Consultations
One benefit the COVID-19 health crisis has allowed us to offer is virtual consultations for all of our patients. That’s right, if you are still looking to receive the vein treatment you need but cannot make it in for your consultation just yet, we can complete it virtually. These virtual consultations are just as thorough and comprehensive as an in-person visit. We will discuss the symptoms of your vein disease, possible treatment options, and what is best for your situation. Pricing and scheduling your actual treatment can also be completed virtually. There is no gap in services to ensure you can receive a vein treatment that is needed.
Perfect Time to Schedule
The world has slowed down all around us as we continue to navigate COVID-19. Many of our patients are now working remotely, typically from the comfort of their home. This makes it the perfect time to sit back and rest your legs after your treatment. While most of our vein treatments are minimally invasive, you still will need a few days to be back to your everyday routine. Take advantage of the slower period now so you will not have to put off any important life activities or trips. The world continues to move on, but do not let your vein treatment pass you by!
